- Who are using antibiotics or antifungals orally, and have not achieved eradication of an existing respiratory infection,
- Who are unable to take orally administered medications,
- Whose prescriber desires to limit the patient’s systemic absorption of oral anti-infective medications, or
- Whose prescriber desires to also co-administer oral anti-infective medications to the patient to treat the causative organism.
