Richie’s has received numerous requests from prescribers for topical nasal medications containing anti-infective medications (antibacterial or antifungal) coupled with corticosteroids or antihistamines.
Prescribers typically want to use one of three delivery devices providing three different particle sizes – (1) the NasoNeb® System, (2) an irrigation delivery system, and (3) the PARI SinuStar® System – all of which are available from Richie’s. Other delivery devices can also be used with the medications Richie’s regularly provides.
Patients who might benefit from the topical delivery of such medications could include patients:
- Who are using antibiotics, antifungals, or steroids orally, and have not achieved eradication of an existing nasal infection,
- Who are unable to take orally administered medications, or
- Whose prescriber desires to limit the patient’s systemic absorption of oral antibiotics.
